What is the maximum number of guests your facility can accommodate? Waters Mill can comfortably accomodate up to 250 people by utilizing the house, front porch and the canopy of southern oak trees. Can the site be used for both the ceremony and reception? If so, must both events occur in the same room or can two rooms or an outside area be used? For your ceremony, you have the option of using the lower gardens, a secluded nook with an elegant focal point of an iron arbor which can be draped with freshly cut flowers centered against a soothing river rock pond, or the upper gardens, an open space equipped with a rustic cedar arbor that can be draped with flowers to match your theme. The reception for all weddings is held in the beautiful banquet room Will other events be occurring on the property during my event? Waters Mill dedicates the entire time you have the property reserved to your wedding only. No other groups will be on the property during your wedding. We do utilize all our dining options for Friday night rehearsals but they are scheduled for different times. Are dressing rooms available for the bride, groom, and attendants? Included in the reservation of the property is the exclusive use of the groom’s cabin and the bridal suite. The groom’s cabin is well air-conditioned and includes a gaming station, leather seating and a mini refrigerator. The bridal suite includes a full length mirror, plenty of comfortable seating and private access to a double vanity restroom with full shower. There is no additional charge for use of either of these rooms. Are adequate restroom facilities available? Are handicapped restrooms available? There are three private restrooms located in our foyer stocked with complimentary papering and emergency kits for all of your guests’ needs. Two of the restrooms are handicapped accessible. Where are photographs taken? When booking with Waters Mill, you have full access to all of the property for our photography. This includes the house, our southern oaks, the backdrop of two different pastures, a koi pond, two arbors, the font porch, rocking chairs, rustic buildings and the many blooming flowers of our landscape. If it is an outside event, do you have a backup plan in case of rain? At Waters Mill, we are always prepared. You have up until one hour before your event to change to our emergency plan of an indoor ceremony. In this event, you have use of the iron archway placed in front of our beautiful fireplace for your ceremony. After your ceremony, you will be swept away to complete your pictures while your guests are pampered outside with appetizers and drinks until the banquet room is completely set up for your reception and your formal instruction as husband and wife. |
