Do you provide the wedding cake, or should I hire an outside baker?

Our packages include a custom cake designed to match your wedding theme perfectly.

Do you provide cake cutting/serving service for both Waters Mill cakes and outside cakes?

Cake cutting and serving is included in all packages for all cakes.

Services

Is there a piano or an organ available for the ceremony?

No. Any specialty music for the reception must be booked separate from your Waters Mill event. We have several recommended vendors. Our exclusive package includes a DJ whose services include ceremony music with his own equipment.

Do you provide a microphone, a cordless mike, or a lapel mike for the ceremony or do you need to rent them?

No. Any audio equipment for the ceremony must be provided by you or your private vendors.

Who will clean up? Will the facility’s employees do it, or must you do your own cleaning?

Waters Mill is responsible for all clean up after the event. If a bride brings in her own photos, candles, centerpieces, etc, she is responsible for removing these items and taking them home or throwing them away.

Are there restrictions on the type of decorations that can be used and how they can be hung or attached?

Waters Mill does not allow tape, staples, wire, or tacks to be used. Again, it is the responsibility of the bride to remove any personal decorations at the end of the night. We recommend someone be in charge of this for the bride. Please no silly string as it is damaging to our environment.

Are candles allowed? If so, must the flame be covered with glass or is an open flame allowed?

Many of Waters Mill’s decorations include open flame candles. All candles are allowed as long as they are placed in appropriate holders.

Are unity candles allowed?

Yes. Waters Mill will provide a small table and linen for your use during the ceremony. The actual candles are not provided by Waters Mill.

What is the staff to guest ratio?

Staffing is determined by the event.

What is the staff dress code?

All front house staff are dressed formally in black tuxedos. Our chefs are dressed in traditional chef uniforms and hats.

Do you provide linens, tables, chairs, china, glassware, silverware, serving accessories, etc.?

Your package will include the use of large round tables, white wooden and resin chairs, white table linens, white linen napkins, silverware, glasses, china, serving accessories and customized buffet linens to match your theme.

How far is your facility from our guests’ hotels?

Waters Mill is conveniently located to many beautiful hotels and resorts. We are approximately 5 miles from Amicalola State Park, a popular location for lodging to many of our guests.
